EN CAVALE is an ever-evolving project: the tale of a short collaboration that kept going. Six musician-vocalists come together to create a novel body of work comprising world music and original compositions. Voices harmonise one after the other in a cascade of different languages: Bulgarian; Finnish; Italian; Georgian; Hungarian; Hebrew… With Mélissa, a playful and radiant vocalist who combines strength and finesse, TRAM has a new sound and a new vocal depth. TRAM jumps from one music style to another with spontaneous energy, creating a festive and welcoming atmosphere. Being at a TRAM concert is an incredible experience!
The unique sounds of the cittern (10-stringed guitar), kaval (Balkan flute) and mouth harp complement the violin, accordion, clarinet, double bass and percussion instruments.
The harmonisation of the six vocalists conveys the joy and emotion of performing together.
Every good collaboration should leave its mark – and the album En cavale was released in September 2023 !
